A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit brought on behalf of any and all persons, whose personal information was included in a database maintained by D.A. Davidson & Co. ("Davidson"), and which database was subjected to the illegal hack, which occurred on or about December 20, 2007. Davidson sent an initial letter notice to affected persons dated January 29, 2008. The Court gave final approval of the settlement of the class action on November 12, 2009. As set forth in more detail on this web site, a settlement amount of $1,000,000 has been made available for actual and unreimbursed damages that directly resulted from identity theft caused by the information obtained through the illegal hacking.
